Ofer Mintz | Senior Lecturer of Marketing | UTS Business School | University of Technology Sydney


Ofer Mintz is Senior Lecturer and Associate Head (External Engagement) of the Marketing Department at the UTS Business School, University of Technology Sydney.

Ofer has presented invited research talks on 5 continents, his research has been published in leading marketing journals such as the Journal of Marketing, Marketing Science, and Journal of International Business Studies, and he has been awarded grants from several academic-practitioner organizations. His research on marketing metric use by managers in 16 different countries was as a finalist for the Buzzell Best Paper Award from the Marketing Science Institute's for its impact to marketing practice and thought over the last two years.

In addition, Ofer was a delegate on an Australian Trade Mission on Innovation to the USA, co-led by Tesla Chairmwoman Robyn Denholm and Boeing APAC President Maureen Dougherty, that led to an opportunity to visit and talk with executives from leading tech firms in the Silicon Valley and Seattle regions. Currently, Ofer is quite passionate about helping firms employ customer centric growth strategies and principals to navigate through the COVID-19 new normal. He has published research on the topic that has appeared in Forbes, Harvard Business School Working Knowledege Series, and Smart Company, and is writing a book providing firms advice on how to adjust to the COVID-19 based customer and economic new normal.

Ofer also enjoys teaching and has won teaching awards for his classes on digital marketing, marketing management, and international marketing, in addition to his courses being also highlighted by the media (click here for the link).

Research Interests:
Marketing Strategy and Digital Marketing
Dr. Ofer Mintz combines his marketing, finance, and decision making background to analyze marketing strategy/analytics, digital marketing, the role of marketing in startups, and firm and marketing strategies during the COVID-19 era. His research approach intergrates theories from marketing, finance, strategy, and behavioral decision theory with cutting-edge econometric empirical analysis to address managerially relevant issues. Teaching Interests:
Marketing Management/Analytics, Digital Marketing, and International Marketing
A main motivation for Ofer to enter academia was to be able to teach and mentor students. Overall he believes his main objective as an instructor is to provide students specialized skills and knowledge that will help them obtain or improve their job in the near future.
